This Privacy Policy explains how Motley Stories AG ("Motley", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you visit https://www.motley.ai (the Site) and use our online services and software (the Services).
We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2) What data we process
Account & billing data (name, work email, role, company, billing contacts, payment references).
Service/usage data (user IDs, configuration, prompts, report/workflow metadata, feature telemetry, logs).
Support data (tickets, recordings, attachments).
Marketing & website data (cookies/SDKs, device, pages viewed, UTM, events, newsletter preferences).
Customer‑provided content may incidentally contain personal data (Customer Data).
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data. Do not submit such data unless required and lawfully allowed.
3) Why we process it (legal bases)
- Provide the Services & contract performance: account creation, authentication, report generation, support.
- Improve & secure the Services: analytics, debugging, fraud/security.
- Marketing with consent : newsletters, cookies/SDKs where required.
- Legal obligations: records, compliance, enforcement.
4) Sources
Data comes from you and your organization, your use of the Services, third‑party tools you connect (e.g., CRM/BI/cloud storage), and public sources where relevant.
5) Sharing
We share personal data with:
- Processors/Sub‑processors that host, store, analyze or support the Services (e.g., cloud hosting, product analytics, email delivery, customer support). We contractually require appropriate safeguards. A current list is:
- OpenAI
- Attio
- Google Analytics
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities when legally required.
- Within your organization (admins, team members) per your account configuration.
We do not sell personal data.
6) International transfers
We may process data in Switzerland, the EEA, and other countries. Where transfers occur to countries without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Swiss addenda) and technical/organizational measures.
7) Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Criteria include account status, legal retention periods, and the nature of the data. You can request deletion as described below.
8) Your rights
Subject to law, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time.

9) Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to protect personal data (encryption in transit, access controls, least‑privilege, monitoring). No method is 100% secure.
10) Cookies & analytics
We use cookies/SDKs for essential functions, to understand usage, and (with consent where required) for marketing. Manage preferences via our Cookie Banner/Settings and your browser. See our Cookie Notice for details.
11) Children
The Services are for business users and not for children under 18. Do not use the Services if you are under 18.
12) Customer Data processed on your behalf
Where we process Customer Data as a processor, our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies and forms part of your contract (available on request or via Order). You are responsible for having a valid legal basis and providing required notices to data subjects.
13) Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post changes on the Site and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be notified through the Services or email.
